【台灣將協助海地賑災】
艱難時刻，台灣一直都在！
我國友邦海地日前發生芮氏規模7.2大地震，駐海地古文劍大使於第一時間代表台灣向昂利總理表達慰問，外交部吳部長也電話聯絡海地外長喬塞德，表達台灣與人民的關心及賑災的意願。
台灣與海地建交65年，關係密切友好，我國基於人道關懷及雙邊深厚邦誼，決定捐贈50萬美元協助賑災，同時持續與海地政府保持聯繫，配合海國政府所提需求，結合國內民間慈善力量，共同協助海國賑災及重建工作！
MOFA would like to express our heartfelt condolences to the people of Haiti in the wake of the recent earthquake there. Our ambassador in Haiti reached out to Prime Minister Ariel Henry at the first opportunity to express concern and condolences for our ally on behalf of the people and the government of Taiwan at this difficult time. Minister Joseph Wu also contacted the country's Foreign Minister Claude Joseph to express our solidarity and to offer any help that the country might require.
Given the scale of the disaster, with many lives lost, buildings collapsed and transportation links cut off, Taiwan will donate US$500,000 to help with the recovery effort.
